This is the 10th year that the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation has brought the PowerSnack program to schools across our Homegrown Iowa communities, and we love that it is now something students and parents look forward to year after year. Not only does this remind us of the impact this program, but also why it is so necessary for many families in our communities. The rising
cost of living is hindering the lives of many people, and we believe that no one deserves to face the barrier of food insecurity because of rising costs.
Because of this, we are so glad that our PowerSnack coupons will extend to many families across this elementary school. The PowerSnack coupons contain $8 worth of shaved or sliced ham and $3 worth of whole wheat bread. This combination alone will provide the power and energy young children need to be successful, but the coupon booklets also contain many more kid-friendly recipes to highlight the versatility of deli ham.
We hope these coupons provide some comfort as we reach our first extended break from school.
